Pension TrainingIf you are a pension board trustee, you can receive credit for applicable training provided by IMTA. IMTA will designate which courses are eligible for Article 3 (police) and Article 4 (firefighters) local pension board trustees at each conference. If you need the eight hours of annual training required by the Illinois Pension Code, IMTA can provide a certificate of completion for applicable courses. Please notify us when you register for training that you're interested in receiving a Pension training certificate. Certificates will be provided at the conclusion of training or can be emailed after the training conference. Per Section 1-113.18, annual training can include the following subjects which are often topics included in IMTA training:
